This cache is located along the W & OD trail. Please be be
courteous to others on this trail while seeking the cache. Also,
please use stealth while at the cache site.
Szilveszter Matuska
Long ago after WWII a stange man came to town. He spent his time at
the local quarry and he spent a lot of time fishing near a bridge
along the W & OD railroad. Well, one day he was seen leaving a
plastic box behind by another fisherman. Later in the week in the
same area there was an explosion and the train was derailed. Lucky
enough there were only 3 people on the train and they were slightly
injured. One of the men was lucky and had ID him as he saw
szilvester sitting on the nearby hill. Seems he likes to be around
for the explosions. It took some time to actually track him down
but the authorities were able to figure out who he was and that he
liked blowing up railroad bridges. After capture he was then shiped
back to poland quickly for his crimes of blowing up train tracks
there was a lot longer and he had been wanted for a long time.
Feel free to check the bridge out. Though the latest damage was
recent, it would not have happened had he not blown up the original
bridge.
