Cache set in up and coming council estate. Wrexham council is investing around 5 million pounds in a refurbishment program in Cefn Mawr. The Ebenezer chapel at the top of the hill is having a major refurbishment and conversion, which has closed the main high street for around 8-10 months.
The cache has been set outside the old council payment office, now residential property. The house was built in 1943, converted in 1995 and extended in 2003. The house was used as the main office for paying council tax and council rents for over fifteen years. The old safe is still in situ at the front of the house.
You do have permission to get cache from the owners. May feel a bit strange walking up someone’s drive. All part of the fun.
