This cache is located at the Samuel W. Cooper Park in Plant City. It's an easy walk around the park, but you'll have to leave the pavement to get to the cache.
This park was dedicated October 18, 2005 and named to honor a longtime civic and community leader for many years of service.
This 11 acre park was developed for the primary purpose of alleviating flooding in the adjacent areas but rather than a typical retention pond with steep sides and fencing, a 10 acre lake was excavated with sloping sides, fountains and aerators, providing an aesthetically pleasing setting. A .6 mile paved walking trail, benches, lighting, landscaping and parking complete the park’s amenities.
The park won two awards in 2006 for recreation and environmental protection and draws a lot of wildlife. In one visit we saw Sandhill Cranes, a falcon, ospreys, Muscovy Ducks, Cardinals, herons, anhingas, and more.
You are seeking the second in a set of movie themed caches originally placed by Boondock Cachers.
The cache has an optional snake and plane theme.
