Geocache Description:

This is an easy and simple multi touring the Historic District of Oysterville on the Long Beach Peninsula. This multiple can be done on foot, bicycle, or vehicle, and can be completed within an hour on foot. The Cache coordinates are listed, but the four prior waypoints must be found to complete the cache. NOTE: Waypoint #4 and the cache are dawn to dusk hours.

Waypoint #1 46 32.757/ 124 01.743 Oysterville Church (Clay St. & Territory Rd. ) Take a minute and read the signs and plaques, and make note of the year on the sign attached to the fence at the front of this nice little church.

Waypoint #2 46 32.805/ 124 01.810 Oysterville School (School St. & Territory Rd.) Visit this little one room school house and read the informative sign. Research the history of the school and don't forget the year this school was built. Now on to the next waypoint.

Waypoint #3 46 32.951/ 124 01.981 Oysterville Store and Post Office. Stop in for a visit at the store, and take a look at the small Post Office that has been in operation since 1858. Look STRAIGHT through the Post Office door window, and obtain the P.O. Box # on the top right. Now on to #4

Waypoint #4 46 32.874/ 124 02.033 The first community cemetary in Washington state. These coordinates will bring you to Chief Nahcati's grave site. He was the Chinook chief that the settlement of Nahcotta was named after. Pay your respects to the chief, and notice the year he was born.

Now on to the cache, 46 32.878/ 124 02.025. If you did a shortcut and didn't stop at the waypoints, you have probably realized that you couldn't log the find, even though you may have found the cache. ADD the numbers obtained from the 4 waypoints (good math is a must) You should now be able to log the cache. Please replace the cache as found. If you still haven't found the hide due to the heavy forest canopy help yourself to the hint.
