HoppyFamily: We've been quite busy as of late and this one has been requiring an awful lot of maintenence it seems. We simply haven't been able to keep Stage 3 reliably in play. So, it's time to say goodbye to the Swamp Romp. Thanks to all who found it, and we're quite proud of this cache. It was our first true multi, and it landed on a couple good lists, both favorites and NOVAGO's best of 2006 list.
For those watching the cache, the final was located at N 38° 47.772 W 077° 20.257, hidden in a hollow tree near a rusted out car just over the ridge next to the Fairfax County Parkway (there's a sidewalk and crosswalk at the nearby intersection, allowing safe pedestrian access directly from stage 3, which was a fake acorn hidden in a tree at the storm water management pond nearby).

We've already removed the final, and we'll make our way to stage 1 to recover that, but I think we will leave stage 2 in place as a memorial for all time... plus, I don't know if we would be able to find it anyway [;)]
