The Second Annual Geocaching 101 Event

The San Antonio Geocaching Association is proud to sponsor The Second Annual Geocaching 101 Event. This is an all day event with something for everyone, so please come join us, meet other Geocachers, learn something new, share your adventures, and have a great time.

The Austin Area Geo-Geeks will have several presentations covering basic to advance topics of Geocaching. Bring your wireless laptop or PDA to get hands on practice with settings and shortcuts to make Geocaching more efficient. Learn how to use many of the advanced features now available on the Geocaching website.

New to Geocaching? This is the event you can’t miss! Know anyone who loves the outdoors and has a sense of adventure, bring them along!

The main purpose for this event is to help all the new cachers in the San Antonio Area. We will cover the basics of Geocaching, as well as several advanced topics.

Wireless Internet:
We will provide wireless internet (802.11b), and if needed, we may be able to provide a LAN line (Bring your own cable).

Food/Drinks:
We are asking that you bring an item for a pot luck lunch. Please post a note to let everyone know what you are bringing. We will have a refrigerator, and several coolers availabe to store food and drinks. The club house has a full kitchen, including a stove and microwave, if you wish to prepare something onsite. ("Adult Drinks" are welcome!)

The swimming pool will be open for those who want to cool off. so bring your swim suits. There is also a tennis/basketball court avalable.
