Ashe County, with its dual communities of Jefferson and West Jefferson, is just about as far as you can go in the High Country before entering Southwestern, Virginia or Northeastern Tennessee. The county is in many respects, "a step back in time" to the way the Appalachian Mountains use to be. This is another in a series of caches designed to introduce others to the warmth, charm, and beauty of this area.
Come and enjoy the mountain air and see some spectacular views of the surrounding area. From the cache's location you can see Mount Jefferson, St. Mary's Church of the Frescoes, and several Christmas tree farms nestled in between green hillsides patched by farmland and forest.
You are seeking a small camouflaged tube. At this size it only has room for the log so please bring your own writing implement.
