Geocache Description:

Who was 'Washer Willy'?
Well, a search on Google won't help you this time! What we do know is that Washer Willy's is now known as the small group of houses at the top of the brae. Travelling downhill and East, we pass through the woods, old Quarry workings and out into the open at the meadow.
The action of the stream through the limestone is clearly seen here and the view south in the summer is very 'picture-sque'.
Looking north-west, the view is totally different along the water's course.
There are proposals to turn Washer Willy's Meadow into a wildlife conservation area. At around 32,000sq. m it is small but notable for the wealth of insects, plant and wildlife that inhabit here.
