This is a multi-stage cache located in a small park not to far from my home. The first stage of this cache is a micro that holds the coordinates for the second and final stage. The final cache container is a "Lock & Lock" larger than a sandwich container. This cache is dedicated to my kitty Misty, since she is not able to come out caching with me.
This park is dedicated to a prominate family in the community. Upon completing military service in World War II, Percy T. Bergeron (1917-1988), his wife Dorothy (1922-1991) and their children settled in which is now Davie opening one of the first grocery stores in 1948. The town with a population at the time of less than 400 people did not have a Baptist Church and the Bergeron's grocery store was used as a meeting place for Reverend Taylor's congregation from 1956 thru 1957. In the early 50's, Dorothy and Percy donated the land for the first Davie Volunteer Fire Department. Percy was also instumental in the growth of the Davie Rodeo thru the 1950 & 60's. This park is dedicated to Percy T. & Dorothy M. by the towns people of Davie for their many contributions throughout their 45 years of residence here and made possible by the generosity of their loving children and grandchildren.
The park is open April - October: 9am - 8pm, and November -March: 9am - 5:30pm, although there is a walking trail available at all times. There is an equestrian trail, playground, picnic tables, bar-b-que grills and two pavilions. There are restrooms which are locked if no party is reserved. The original cache containts include numerous kitty toys and other miscellaneous items and keychains.
