Hi-5ers: With the hide location having changed in nature and not many people attempting to find in recent years, we are retiring this one to free up space for potential new caches.

Geocache Description:

Each of the young Hi-5ers wanted to set up a cache of their own, so a set of three caches has been placed within easy reach of one another. This one was set up by Hi-5er J. The others are Home Wood Fish Ponds by Hi-5er L and Home Wood Hidey Hole by Hi-5er H.

This cache is situated in an double avenue of chestnut trees which used to be a vista from nearby Ickwell Bury. It is many years since the avenue was clear, but you can still pick out the original trees. A little further west along the Greensand Ridge Walk, the footpath goes through the grounds of Highlands Farm where the route of the avenue can be more clearly seen.

Parking is readily available on the road in the village of Northill which has a good pub and nice church for those interested.
