Lake Bonny Park is located on what is now called Lake Bonny (or
Bonnie). The lake was originally called Lake Boney, hence the cache
name, and was named for David W. Boney who was an Indian fighter
and moved to this area in the late 1800's.
The park is accessible from US 98 across from Lakeland High
School. It is a family park with varied activities, including
baseball, softball and soccer fields, two playgrounds and four
picnic pavilions. Park hours are 7:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M.
