Located on County Road in Hillsboro. From Downtown Hillsboro, take School Street. When you reach the historic Hillsboro Center, bear left and keep go down the hill, past the cemetary. At the bottom of the hill, take the second right, County Road. Follow County Road for 1.7 miles. Just over the wall on the right there is a small one grave cemetary of a veteran who served in the War of 1812, Curtis Robbins. There is a flag next to the grave. The Cache is not in the cemetary, but very close by.
This is the first cache we put out, and it is one of our favorites. We decided to put it in our first cache because the theme this month is Freedom, and this soldier was fighting for what we all enjoy today, a long time ago. His name was Curtis Robbins, he was in the 1st NH Militia, serving in the war of 1812, then settling on County Road until his death. The town still keeps it up, and a fresh flag is placed there each year.
