TheHats: Thanks to storms and car trouble, I haven't been able to check on this one for a while, and I really regret letting it go this bad. When I got out to it today, in the teeth of yet another storm, I was upset to not only find that the little root-cave it was hidden in has been nearly destroyed (By wave action or careless cachers, I have no way of knowing), but the cache in place is not either of the containers that I've left there, but one considerably smaller and poorly painted. This is partially mea culpa for not checking more regularly, but it still means that someone stole my container.
The container I did find was packed with seaweed and dirty, broken shells, a logbook so soaked that the cover has disintegrated, two mismatched and rusted earrings, one of my signature coins (broken into half-a-dozen pieces), several carwash tokens, and a handful of other swag so water-damaged that only the pencil was salvagable.
I'm archiving this cache, disappointed. If anyone finds a cache hidden in an ammo can painted green over an originally red coat, I'd like to know about it?
