Cache is located in the state game lands. Remember to wear your orange and check the game commission's
website for hunting seasons. I'd recommend Sunday caching during
the main hunting seasons. Some of the roads/trails in here are open
to bikes/horses. Not all are, watch the signs. All are closed to
motorized vehicles.
This one is a little bit of a hike, the initial
climb is the worst part. The entire hike is down game lands roads (closed to motor vehicles) until you are within about 100 feet of the cache. While I was exploring a bit to figure out
where to place this, I spotted at least 7 deer. I also found a
large pile of what looks like deer bones. The "bone pile" isn't far
from a shed on the property. It's not close to the cache, though. I
also noticed a "bear trap" sitting beside the shed. I'm assuming
this is just where they store the trap when not needed. I think
it's the one the local high school vo-tech refurbished for the
commission. It looks pretty good.
Cache is well concealed. Please keep it that way when rehiding
it. It's located a bit off trail, but not too far. It's mostly
light undergrowth between the trail and the cache.
