F : Découverte de la campagne de l’Hermitage et de magnifiques points de vue sur Lausanne, son château, sa cathédrale et le lac Léman - Durée : env. 45 mn - Réalisable en toute saison.
EN : Discovery of the surroundings of the Hermitage and of some magnificent standpoints on Lausanne, its castle, its cathedral and the Lake of Geneva. Duration: about 45 mn - Suitable to any season.
F : Ce parcours, qui emprunte notamment le chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, traverse un parc superbe sur le flanc d’une colline surplombant Lausanne. Une belle maison de maître, construite au XIXe siècle par la famille Bugnion, abrite aujourd’hui le très réputé musée de l’Hermitage. La visite des expositions montées par la Fondation de l’Hermitage, consacrées aux beaux-arts et plus particulièrement à l’art occidental des XIXe et XXe siècles est vivement recommandée ! De nombreux sentiers publics permettent de découvrir librement les environs de cette célèbre propriété et en particulier d’observer les nombreuses essences rares qui agrémentent ce parc.

Point de départ : le parking de la place des Fêtes de Sauvabelin ( N 46° 31.971’ E 006° 38.408’ ). Commencez votre balade en recherchant le premier indice : N 46° 31.840’ E 006° 38.380. Pour accéder à la cache finale, il faudra trouver 3 indices. Notez que le troisième de ceux-ci vous permettra de découvrir le plus beau hêtre pleureur du canton, planté en 1855. Excellente promenade !

EN : This itinerary, which notably follows the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle road, goes through a gorgeous park on the side of a hill above Lausanne. Built in the 19th century by a family named Bugnion, a master house hosts the highly appreciated Hermitage museum. The visit of the fine arts exhibitions brought up by the Hermitage Foundation (particularly focused on Occidental art of the 19th and 20th centuries) is highly recommended ! Many public paths allow the visitor to freely discover this famous property and observe the numerous rare trees gracing the park.
Other interesting visits in the area : Lake and animal reserve of Sauvabelin - Observation tower of Sauvabelin - Vivarium of Lausanne - other geocaches.

Starting point : car park of the "Place des Fêtes" of Sauvabelin (N 46° 31.971’ E 006° 38.408’ ). Begin your walk by searching the first clue: N 46° 31.840’ E 006° 38.380. To attain the final cache you’ll have to find three clues. Notice that the third one will allow you to discover the most beautiful beech tree of the district, planted in 1855. Enjoy the trip !
Once you have reached your goal, thanks to carefully hide the treasure back in its place, because of the many people travelling the site!
