Geocache Description:

A Cape split hike

Once a beautiful and mighty part of the Nova Scotia hardwood forest the beech tree has been devastated by an unnatural disaster. The victim of an introduced invader the large healthy beech tree is now a rarity and what most people now find are small disfigured trees, shadows of what they should be. While hiking for this cache please take note of the few large healthy trees you find compared to the amount of smaller twisted specimens. For more info on the beech tree go Here.
The cache is a small lock n’lock with log book, pencil and small trade items.
