Geocache Description:

This is one of three caches that gives you the coordinates to the final of the Wildlife Series caches. Part of the final's coordinates are at the top of the log sheet. This cache is located near Milepost 100 along Hwy 20. Many bald eagles winter along the Skagit River feeding on dead salmon. The most we have seen is 200 in one day, mostly between Concrete, WA and Milepost 100. That was a very good day! We managed to get an amazing picture of 10 eagles in one tree! The best time to see large numbers of bald eagles is mid-December to mid-January, and during the morning hours in my opinion. At Milepost 100, volunteer eagle watchers have a spotting scope for the public to look through. If you're lucky, you can hear the eagles chattering to each other while you observe them. Due to high water concerns during flood season, the cache is a micro. Don't forget your binoculars!
