Geocache Description:

This is a large geocache in the La Cienega/Empire Ranch Conservation Area. It is near the southern entrance.

This cache is near Hwy 82 running east and west through Sonoita. As you come up from that highway you will see a windmill on your left. Take the little spur road to the windmill and go past it. That road is unnamed and not marked on the BLM map of the area. Stop in a spot where the road widens and before the road takes you into a steep sided wash. Walk to cache. Easy walk.

Cache is a large popcorn tin that my husband painted using latex paint so the lid sticks but you can get it off. Please make certain the lid is back on tight. Plenty of room in cache and lots of items that make nice FTF prizes. Please only take 1 woodcutter piece per team.

The placement of this cache was approved by Keith Hughes, Tucson BLM. 520-258-7200.
