A park and grab, once you get there
Out caching in Butler County, I came across this place. Caught the name just out of the corner of my eye. That can't be right! We're not in Ecuador.
The area was "founded" in 1860 according to a sign. I could find no "evidence" earlier than 1871. Neither did I see anyone speaking Spanish or even with a Spanish surname.
Cache is a waterproof matchbox I happened to have along for the ride. Original contents include a log and a 1944 wheathead penny. Could trade pennies and dimes here. Please be respectful to the residents; don't disillusion them, perhaps some think they really are in Ecuador.
