Harwood Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alpine Reviewer: As I have not received an update from the cache owner, I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you (the cache owner) wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future, please contact me, and assuming it meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A simple cache in a Max Factor makeup container 1/2 the size of a film container. Easy cache. Be sure to look at the architecture. Changed to a 2 star in difficulty because of the discomfort that some have logged.

Update: New coordinates: 36 24.354N by 105 34.642W. Moved cache on 10/7/2006.

This was a cache that was hard for the vertically challenged. We fixed that by moving it a little bit. Kathleen’s grandmother, Antonia (Toni) Tarleton, had been the director at the Harwood from 1954 to 1972. She has done a lot for the foundation before and after these dates as well. The publication of the Harwood said; “She encouraged artists and collectors to donate pictures and other art, thus expanding the fine collection which can be seen today.” The library has since moved but the Harwood Foundation (a museum) still exists at its’ original location on Ledoux Street. Kath has spent many a day here. Enjoy the visit. Learn more about the Harwood Museum at: http://harwoodmuseum.org/index_f.php
