Macy Micro Traditional Cache
HaLiJuSaPa: Went by the cache on this beautiful day. Water has receded but still the muddiest spot of the caches we did post-storm maintenance checks on (though not much more so that usual in this park).
The flood was quite powerful, not only is the cache gone (probably washed away!) but the rock it was hidden under was pushed against the tree in a way where it cannot be moved and in which a re-hide will be too exposed!
So we're reluctantly doing our first archive. We love this park and would love to see someone else do a great hide here! Thanks to all who found this one......

Located in V.E. Macy Park, a county park off Route 9A in Ardsley. The park extends over the NY State Thruway (I-87). There is entrance to V.E. Macy via the northbound Saw Mill Parkway; this will not take you to the cache (DO NOT CROSS THE THRUWAY!!!), you need to enter via route 9A.
Container is a 35 mm film canister. Writing instrument does not fit, so please bring your own pen or pencil to sign log. There is a WG$1 as a FTF prize.
There is a parking fee and a county park pass is required to park, however, this is generally only enforced daily between May and September, after that sometimes on weekends. You can also park in one of the two shopping areas across the street and walk into the park without paying a fee or needing a pass.
The park has a playground, picnic areas, and lots of open space, plus wooded approaches to the Saw Mill River. There is generally a high muggle factor, especially on nice-weather weekends, however, cache is in a relatively secluded and hidden spot.
Good luck and enjoy! After this cache, you can drive down Route 9A south, make a right on Ashford Avenue, and take the Saw Mill Parkway north to the other entrance and do the "Between Two Roads" multi-cache which is on that end of the park.
