Circle B Citrus Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Saved by God's grace: As per some changes to the guidelines from Polk County Environmental lands, this specific cache is being archived as it is too far off trail. It's had an awesome run and was one of the first caches I ever found, but sadly it's time has come...

Geocache Description:

Adoption note: This cache was originally placed by FSUDad, one of the best cache hiders Central Florida has ever seen. I had the privilege of finding this one years ago during Geowoodstock XI (and it was one of my favorites for the day!), an event he had a big hand in creating. Since he's moving out of the area, I've adopted this listing to keep it alive. The below description is how he originally wrote it. Please note as well, that going off-trail to find geocaches *IS* allowed at Circle B, even with the "stay on trail" warning signs. The caches are placed with the permission of the land managers, and it's completely ok to find them. That said, please be respectful of wildlife and vegetation, and "tread lightly" as you search for this cache. Cache on!

Dogs are not allowed on this property

Caution, alligators live here. It is illegal to harass wildlife, please observe from a distance.

You are searching for a regular size container. BYOP. Cache is located along the Oak Hammock Loop trail.

Cache is located at the Circle B Bar Reserve. The Reserve is open daily, year-round, from 6:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. Standard Time and until 8:30 P.M. during Daylight Savings Time. Dogs are no longer allowed in the preserve because of the number of alligators present. This area may become wet during the rainy season. Don’t forget the insect repellent and water. Be careful and enjoy the area. Minor bushwhacking may be required at the cache site, please stay on designated trails until you reach the search area. Be advised that there are always risks associated with visiting nature preserves.

Please sign in at the information board in the parking lot near the trailhead, and note that you're there to geocache. Polk County's Environmental Lands Program is receptive to caching. Signing in shows that you appreciate this. Please be respectful of this property, its vegetation & wildlife. Make sure you grab a map of the reserve at the trailhead.
