Geocache Description:

This micro mystery cache is located in downtown Panama City. The coordinates will take you to public parking that is near the location of the cache.

Please return cache to the proper hiding spot.

This cache has been named to honor one of America’s great inventors, Alexander Graham Bell. Some research will be required to find parts of the coordinates for the location of this cache. The coordinates are: 30 09.ABC N 085 39.DEF W A. G. Bell was born in Edinburg, Scotland on March 3, 18A7. He invented the telephone in 187E. He received US Patent # 174,46D for this invention. There is some mystery over whether or not Bell was the first to invent the telephone. There are two other men that people claim invented the telephone. Elisha ______(#1) filed a caveat, incomplete patent application asking for more time, the same day that Bell filed his patent. In 2002, the US House recognized ________(#2) Meucci as the real inventor. He invented a prototype of the telephone almost 20 years before Bell. Research shows that he was too poor to pay for the patent. Bell has several other inventions and patents. These include a metal detector, improvements to the telegraph, photophone, audiometer, a precursor to the iron lung, work on alternative fuels and aeronautics. To find F, take the first letter of the missing last name (#1) and add it to the first letter of the missing first name (#2), (A,B,C=1,2,3 and so on). To find B & C go to the NE corner of Luverne Ave and 5th St. There is a time capsule that was placed at this location by the Telephone Pioneers of America. I have no idea what is in the capsule, and I am curious. According to the plaque at the site, the capsule will be opened in 20GH. I guess I will have to wait a little while to find out. BC=GH +5. It should be a short walk to the cache location from the time capsule. Good luck!
