Nicht nur die Uhrmacherei wurde in Glashütte praktiziert, hier gibt es auch eine Sternwarte. Der jetzige Eigner ist der bekannte Juwelier WEMPE der die Sternwarte restaurieren lies und hier eine Niederlassung hat.
