Geocache Description:


Scrub areas where formed from old sand dunes.
When the sea levels dropped this type of area became the highest and dryest land available.So naturally they were the first to be
developed.In 1930 two thirds of the area was cleared for
pineapples.It is estimated that less than 2% of
Palm Beach County scrub remains.In 1994 this
54 acres was bought by the city for $2,0500.00
dollars.The park is open sunrise to sun set 7 days a week.
Please pick a brochure on the way in.
There hundreds of differant animal and plants here.
How many can you find? Stay on yellow trail till you are close. No bushwacking needed!Please make sure to snap lid shut.
