After you park (please observe all parking
signs), walk onto the pier and proceed via the pier to the waypoint
coordinates (or thereabouts) which are the coordinates above. On
your way to the waypoint at the end of the pier you’ll need
to gather some information that will be used to figure out the
final cache coordinates. Just some simple counting and easy
arithmetic is needed.
I. Make the following observations to
determine X, Y and Z,.
X equals the number of light
poles on the pier.
Y equals the number of ladders
on the pier.
Z is the number of hours the
pier is closed.
II. Now you need to do the following to
determine the ABC and
DEF of the final cache
coordinates of N47 31.ABC and W122 31.DEF.
A = Y + 1
B = Y - 1
C = Z - Y
D = Z - X - 1
E = X
F = X - 6
Check Sum: N = 26 and W =
18
Once you complete the above
you should have the final cache coordinates and you can begin your
search. You are looking for a painted, plastic, micro cache that
contains only a log book. You will need to bring your own pen.
Please put back the cache in the same place and re-hide the cache
exactly the way you found it. This can be a very busy place so
stealth may be required.
One final note. If you do
not want to chance getting your feet wet you may want to search at
times other than high tide. You can check
the TIDES for the Harper area at (visit link). Of course if it is a hot sunny day
you might prefer to take off your shoes and socks and enjoy wading
in the water.

Congrats to Belleterre for
being the FTF
!!
