When you reach here from Bell Station on the way to Dowdy Ranch, the hard part is done. Stop, rest, and grab a cache!
When coming up from Bell Station, this is where you can be sure the hard part is done! (Bell Station is about 375 feet elevation and the highest spot on the way to Dowdy Ranch is about 1900 feet. The cache is at about 1400 feet)
From Bell Station to Dowdy Ranch Visitor's Center, the roadway and the land between the barbed wire fences is part of Henry Coe park. The cache is closer to the road than to the fence. No need to approach the fences or think about trespassing.
Cache is a quart jar with 2 half dollar coins. Bring a pen!
