Mississippi River County Park is made up of 209 acres and contains
1.3 miles of frontage on the Mississippi River. The site was
acquired in 1973. The park has 1.1 miles of roadway, and open-air
picnic shelter, two open play and picnic areas, 2.5 miles of
year-round trails and 1 mile of winter only trails, boat launch and
prairie restoration site. One-third of the park is forested. A
long-range goal is to re-establish native plant communities
throughout the park.
The park is 6 miles north of Sartell on CSAH 1.
Mississippi River County Park is open year round and is open
6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Free parking is available in the parking lot inside the
park.
