This cache requires a short (approximately a half-mile roundtrip)
but slightly steep hike on a section of the historic Bartram Trail
to a scenic little waterfall. The parking area for the cache is
located very near OzGuff's "Osage Pimentos" cache, and this cache
is located on the trail to the "Scaly Mountain Summit" cache -
allowing cachers to get a "caching hat trick" if so desired.
The parking area is the Osage scenic overlook on Hwy 106,
approximately 5.5 miles south of Main St. in Highlands. The trail
starts at the wooden steps directly across the highway from the
parking area - use caution crossing the highway. The main trail
utilizes yellow vertical blazes; a small spur trail of
approximately 30 yards leads to the waterfall.
The cache location does not require crossing the waterfall, but
use caution around the waterfall and supervise children. [The
"hint" is a dead giveaway of the location, so only decode it if
necessary.]
The cache is a camoflaged one-quart "Tupperware" container with
a twist-off top. Have fun!
