Grizzly Bear 1: From ScouterDuck: Took a trip with the intent to recover it anyway, but did not find the container in place. Unfortunate, as this was a good lock-n-lock sandwich box, and was clearly labeled and had my phone number in it, so have to assume someone just picked it up and tossed it whole without looking. If anyone does come across it, keep it.

Geocache Description:

A tour of historical sites in the city of Allegan.

CACHE IS NOT AT THESE COORDINATES!

You will need to visit at least two of the additional waypoins below to gather information. First, visit the plaque at the Historic Bridge in Allegan. There are three dates on the plaque. You will need only the build and the rebuild dates. Next, visit the plaque at the Allegan Court House and the Old Soldier. Note the two years on this plaque. Finally, take a moment to sit on the south facing bench in front of city hall to solve the puzzle.

The last three digits of city hall bench coords = AAA
Subtract the dates on the bridge plaque = BB
Therefore YYY is equal to AAA-(BB+20)

The last three digits of city hall bench coords = CCC
Subtract the dates on the County Building plaque = DDD
Therefore X.XXX is equal to CCC + (DDD times 219)

The cache is a small camo covered food container with several small trade items and room for a small travel bug. Please be respectful of the residents. Use stealth as there can be muggles in the area at any time. Near the cache is the grave site of a Civil War Hero, Benjamin Pricard, member of the 4th Michigan Calvary 1862-1865. He was involved in the capture of Jefferson Davis. N 42 31.643, W 085 51.789
