Old Farmstead Trail Traditional Cache

Polaris1000: I looked for this cache on April 10, after someone said on April 9, that they could not find it. I didn't find it, so I put it on temporary disable. On April 12 (Easter) I got a log saying that someone found it, so I went back today to look for it, and its gone. Someone stole the one gallon jug with all the contents. I'm sorry that there was a travel bug and geocoin listed as being in it. I'm going to archive this cache in style to honor the memory of Harry Kalas.

Geocache Description:


A fun and educational half mile loop trail in Evansburg State Park near the main Park Office off of Mill Road. Start on the far left side of the garden at the Friedt Visitor Center, and follow the half mile loop Farmstead Trail to learn about the early Settlers in this area and how they utilized the natural resources to survive. The cache is a camo gallon plastic jug located a few feet off the trail at about the half way point. Beware of muggles! Once you find the cache, you may as well complete the rest of the loop, as it is just as far to go back. The trail is child friendly, no PI or stickers, and hunting is NOT allowed in this area. Permission was obtained from the PA DCNR for the placement of this cache.
