Have you seen those post cards of the backside of Mt. Rushmore ? Stop here and explore a bit to see what really lies behind Mt. Rushmore. You'll find a wonderland of forest trails amidst unique granite formations. Watch the rock climbers practice and improve their skills too. Take the trail from the trailhead coordinates to avoid unnecessary bushwhacking. Have fun, explore the area. It is a family friendly area - fairly flat and level.
Wrinkled Rock is a semi-primitive free campground and rock climbing area. Only tent camping or bivouacking is allowed. NO trailers, RV’s or generators! Vault toilet available able, n water.
