Geocache Description:

Small, well established park with maintained paths and grounds in South Haven, Michigan. Parking is available at the bottom of the hill between the park and the Michigan Maritime Museum, or at the top of the hill on “Park Street”. STAGE I 42° 24.435N 086° 16.559W This waypoint leads to a plaque titled “Haven Peach”. The plaque gives a historical view of this park’s namesake. It also holds clues for treasure hunters. Divide the number of seedlings mentioned on the Peach Plaque by 3000. Add the result to the two digit number at the end of your current NORTH. Subtract the smaller date from the larger date on the plaque. Add the result to the two digit number at the end of your current WEST. Go to the new waypoint. STAGE II Add up the digits from each of the three dates shown on the monument. (Example: 1920 would be 1 + 9 + 2 + 0 = 12). Add the three sums together and subtract the result from the end of the current NORTH. Locate the dates on the front of the monument. Square the last digit of the more recent date. (to square a number is to multiply that number times itself) Subtract the resulting number from the end of your current WEST. Head for the cache. This is a fairly well traveled park. There are frequently muggles present. Great stealth may be required. The cache is small and contains only a log book. When you find the cache, look to the south and you will also have Stanley’s view of "Friends". The view can be fairly covered by trees in the summer. Go to the Maritime Museum at the base of the hill to learn about "Friends". Cache contents: - only enough room for a log book - Bring your own pencil.
