Geocache Description:

Located at Jack of Clubs Lake close to Wells on the Gold Rush Trail. It's a beautiful rest stop right off the hwy.

William Giles (a prospector from Missouri) found the creek that enters into the lake. They both have his nickname Jack of Clubs. The lake used to be deep and larger but tailings from mining have filled it up. We loved Barkervill so much that we had to put a cache out this way to lure others to come and see what all the fuss is about.
