Geocache Description:

This is a very impressive "Must See" memorial in Fenton Park and was dedicated on 9/11/06.

Visit this memorial and reflect on what had happened on September 11, 2001. It is very moving and very impressive. Notice the large 2200 pound round granite stone suspended in water in the center of the memorial. It is etched like a globe and can easily be pushed with your hand and it will spin in place.

You will need some information at the memorial which will give you coordinates for the final, which is very close but away from the memorial. This will be a very easy cache to locate after visiting the memorial. Bring your own pencil.

At the memorial, the following information is needed:

1. How many Granite or marble benches are placed (in front and behind) the memorial ? ____ = A.
Do NOT count the wooden or composite benches (currently 4) placed near the memorial.

2. How many from the Law Enforcement community (left column) were lost in the line of duty? ____ = B.
If 1 to 4 then B=1; If 5 to 8, then B=5; If 9 or more, then B=9.

3. How many columns of names are there for area soldiers killed in action? ____ = C

With the above information, calculate the final coordinates.

For the North coordinates, use the formula (A * 59.5) - B. Use that 3 digit number to REPLACE the last 3 digits of the North coordinates at the top of the page.
For the West Coordinates, use the formula (C * 70) + 1. Use that 3 digit number to REPLACE the last 3 digits of the West coordinates at the top of the page.
