This cache is located on level terrain with no bushwacking involved at all. This should be an easy park and grab with a twist.
Elba has been noted for its production of onions since the development of the mucklands began some 90 years ago. They became the salvation of a rural agricultural community in many ways. Our onions are strong like the people that produce them, (not like those whimpy onions they try to pass off elsewhere as onions!).
Elba even holds a Field Day carnival event every year on the first weekend in August since 1934 in which an Onion Queen is chosen to reign for a year.
This cache is dedicated to all those whom have toiled hard over the years on that rich black dirt, making a way for their families to grow and prosper.
The cache site is on private property for which I have been given permission by the owner to place this cache. His wife is also a geocacher. Since this cache is at a business location I would ask all cachers to be on their best behavior and respect where they park so as not to interfere with the normal operations of the business.
The cache container is small and holds only a log book, pencil and sharpener and a FTF prize for that lucky soul. In order to register a find on this cache I would ask everyone to have their picture taken with their GPS in front of the object located just 15 paces to the south of the cache box. Since I require a picture posted there can not be any night time caching on this please. No need to get the local police aroused in the middle of the night now do we!
In the winter you may have a problem finding a parking spot so please use your better judgement here.
