Geocache Description:

A wilderness experience requiring gaitors and perseverance.

It's a place you'll have never visited before and will probably never visit again. The journey is very interesting, beautiful and poignant though if you approach via the Bycliffe Road and Mossdale Scar (see 'Sykosis' cache for details). This aint a cache for the faint hearted .... definitely not an afternoon stroll. Parts of the journey require you to trog though heather, scrub and bog with no obvious pathways. The reward is the knowledge that you have reached a cache & Trig that are very little visited and have unique views in all directions. Good Luck!

And there's more .......

If you liked this cache there are many more 'Sykesfamily' caches in similar, awe inspiring locations scattered around the Yorkshire Dales National Park and surrounding valleys. So grab your walking boot, pack your sandwiches, leave your troubles behind and head for the hills .... Enjoy!!
