An easy hike along an open path on the edge of a beautiful bayside shoreline , brings you to the cache site .
Park at N43 13.697 W079 12.866 . Follow the gravel road for a bit and then turn right on one of the paths to access the bayside shoreline path . Cache is a few metres off the path along a picturesque little beach .It is a tupperware container cleverly concealed- if I do say so myself . ( Caution : views are so beautiful , you may be distracted and forget why you are REALLY here! )After finding the cache , you may want to walk out to the little lighthouse visible on your left for a stunning vista of Lake Ontario. Here's another suggestion . This cache was placed here today for a special reason - to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 World Trade Centre attack.
If you have time and the inclination , visit the 9/11 Memorial Walk just visible on the shoreline of the bay to your far right ( N43 13.606 , W079 12.150 ). To get there , drive to Happy Rolf Bird Sanctuary and go to the far side of the park where a series of 31 native trees ,duly identified and marked , have been planted along a path to honour the memories of the 31 Canadians who died that day at the World Trade Centre disaster . A plaque has been placed at each tree with the name and bio information of each victim - a truly moving experience .
