This cache is on a public island on Lake Micmac in Dartmouth. It's a short paddle, swim or walk (in a cold winter) from Sunrise Beach. Our first time on these islands in 19 years. Thanks again to Geocaching, I've been somewhere new in my own "backyard". Please observe the posted "Private Property" island nearby.This is a camo'd medium ammo can with the usual swag (compass/whistle thingy, hip sac, duffle bag, keychain/flashlight, cellphone case, radio, biner, Guiding lanyard). We approached the island from the west side as it had a good landing. Please replace the cache carefully as the island seems to be used regularly for 'recreational purposes'. (Think CITO!). This is a good chance to enjoy historic Shubie Park, just north of the cache site.
