miatabug: I'm completely disappointed that Geauga Park District never even replied to our request to extend the permit for this cache, but I don't wish to leave it disabled any longer. It was a fun cache and found by at least a few cachers. Who knows, GG is getting close to 3k. [;)]

Geocache Description:


Geauga Garmin’s Too Grand…. or is it Two Grand? Either way, this cache is a celebration of the 2000th find by a wonderful Geauga County cacher and a friend. Find number 2000 came not long after her fourth anniversary of geocaching.

Geauga Garmin has been involved in every aspect of the sport. From finding caches and benchmarks, to placing caches, to hosting events, GG has been there. Most of us have received help or kind words from her at some point. In her spare time she is a volunteer naturalist with the Geauga Park District, a member of the bike patrol, a local historian, and recently, an avid lawn bowler.

When you come to visit this cache, please take a moment in your log to congratulate a fellow cacher and give her a smiley. When the cache is removed, we will give the log to Geauga Garmin.

This is a fairly easy find at one of our favorite parks. This cache has been reviewed, approved, and permitted by the Geauga Park District. The park does allow night caching, but please obey the posted park times. The cache is within 50’ of a trail. Please do not leave the trail early. The terrain rating is for an uphill stretch and stairs.
