Memories are brought up every time I see a cache at one of these places. They are great places to visit but I can only do so perhaps once a year or two. However it will always be a part of my life.
My first job at age 17 was at such a place as a dishwasher and then as a cook for many years through college. At the tail-end of college, I moved on to work at the corporate headquarters for short time. After graduation I decided that I had enough and went another direction.
Like anyone who worked somewhere for a long period of time, I still have the years of memories and experiences, good and bad, and am reminded of them every time I search for a cache or even see a cache listing near one of these. I don't think that I am "off my rocker" or have gone "crackers". I do know that there is such thing as "too much of a good thing" and I certainly hit my limit with these places a long time ago. Perhaps it's now just a "barrel of laughs" for me as I look back.
