Located in the John J. Duffy Forest Preserve, the terrain is mostly prairie. There is trailhead parking at the equestrian parking lot. It's OK to park there if you're not an equestrian.
You're looking for a 30 cal ammo box with the usual stuff. There are two ways to approach and there is a trailhead at each end. This is a nice walk through some of the last wide-open spaces in the area.
