JerseyGirl & Bruno: This was a great hide in a beautiful spot. No longer in the area so it's time to put this one to bed. Thanks for the fun!

Geocache Description:

Summertime

And the livin' is easy

Fish are jumpin'

And the cotton is high...

You're hunting a creatively cammo'd ammo can in the northern part of the Richloam Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest.
Following the Summer's End in the Swamp event, FSUDad and I headed out to hide this cache, but were sidetracked by a call for help from a pair of cachers. A great cooperative effort yielded success and we were off to cache the Forest with Team Snook. Our travels led us down a Forest Road we hadn't yet explored, and brought us to a wetlands area and borrow pit lake that we had never seen. There were wading birds, fish jumping and a gator keeping a close eye on us. I knew immediately that this was the spot to place our cache. I hope you all enjoy this beautiful area as much as we did.

4WD or high profile vehicles advisable in this part of the Forest. Difficulty and terrain ratings will go up when it rains. Use common sense when hunting for this cache. If you get stuck, don't say you weren't warned.

A map and hunt dates for the Richloam Track for 2006-2007 are located here.
