*gln: ARCHIVING ABANDONED CACHE

Greetings,

Looks like our timing is off and It’s time to say goodbye to this cache.

Since I haven't any maintenance here in a very long time, I am going to assume that your priorities have changed and you’ve gone in a different direction.

Archiving due to lack of maintenance is permanent.
CACHE ARCHIVAL IS PERMANENT.

Let me know if I can be of assistance in the future.

Thanks a MILLION for all you have done, Glenn

Geocache Description:

The Kansas City, Clay County and St. Joseph Interurban Electric Rail ran from 1913 to 1933. It started in Downtown Kansas City heading northwest to St. Joseph, and northeast to Excelsior Springs in North Kansas City. There are several old Luten style arch bridges still standing on the old routes. For more information about this rail line go to: http://www.interurbanroad.com/. Ed Gentry has done extensive research and has some wonderful details and photos of the cars, stations and bridges.

Camden Point Station was about halfway from North Kansas City to St. Joseph on the Interurban line.

This cache is in Camden Point City Park. It's an ideal cache for bicyclers on the Interurban Road trail. The nearest public restrooms and refreshments are at I29 and Highway E.

Please cache in daylight hours only and observe the speed limits in the city.

Permission was granted by the city of Camden Point to hide this cache.
