Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series of seven planned caches related to an Eastern NC Civil War activity which took place in July 1863. All are micros but information taken from each will provide clues to the location of a traditional cache when the series is completed.

Be very careful of the traffic as this area gets quite a bit of it. This site describes part of the events which the series deals with. It is actually the fourth in the chronological order but the first site to be prepared. Read, learn, and remember how many horses the owner of the plantation netted in his deal with the Union forces. It'll come in handy later. The cache container is pretty small so you will need to BYOP to sign the log. Be careful to return the container properly. Have fun with the series.
