Lidcutt Valley is one of the longer walks in Cardinham Woods. The trail starts at the carpark and initially follows the red route,Lady Vale walk. There is a pink marker post on the way which sends you up a rather steep incline, but once at the top the views over the woods are magnificent. It is advisable to stick to the marked trails. The cache is a small lock’n’lock container which contains only a log book,pencil and a £1 FTF.There is little room for swaps but would take smaller items and Geocoins.
The cache also contains part co-ordinates for Cardinham Woods Bonus Cache GCYB43 . The other half of the co-ordinates for the Bonus cache are in Lidcutt Valley Too GCYB3Y which can be found if you continue the whole route around.
The entire walk is around 5k and should take around a couple of hours,but allow an extra hour to collect the Bonus. Parking is £2 for all day.
