pkacolorado: Alas because of the construction on Gross Reservoir this one needs to be archived. The mine no longer exists and the area will not be accessible for many years.

A relatively quick find close to the road to the Dam.
Our family has lived on this land for over 100 years and used to own some of the land under the waters of the reservoir, so we thought this would be a good first cache for us.
Initially, we thought we would place this next to an old copper mine (thus the name) in the area (about 1/4 mile North by the same road) but thought better of it on the off chance someone was way off and fell in the opening!
We did leave some of the ore in the box, however. Feel free to take it if you want, we will refill! Also a mixture of toys from my daughter's stache and a travel bug.
Be a bit careful for muggles driving by.
