VINCI La Città di Leonardo Il Comune di Vinci conta 14 mila abitanti. Situato nel cuore della Toscana, a pochi Km. da Firenze e Pistoia, vicinissimo a Pisa, Lucca e Siena raggiungibili in meno di un’ora, si estende su una superficie di 54 Kmq., con un’altitudine minima di 26 m. a Sovigliana e massima di 640 m. sul Montalbano (Cupolino), sulle cui pendici si trova la maggior parte del territorio comunale. Vinci, la città di Leonardo, si trova in mezzo ad una campagna verdissima che conferisce al paesaggio circostante un aspetto incantevole e magico, degno delle più suggestive immagini leonardiane. A circa 3 Km da Vinci, ad Anchiano, c'è la casa natale di Leonardo, dove nacque il 15 Aprile 1452. Ornata dal grande stemma in pietra dei "Da Vinci", postovi nel 1482, fu restaurata nel 1986 e rappresenta un’interessante integrazione alla visita al Museo. La casa è collocata nella cornice di un paesaggio che è ancora simile a quello che Leonardo aveva contemplato e disegnato fin dall’infanzia. Si è per questo pensato, nel ristrutturare la casa, di collocarvi alcune testimonianze su come Leonardo seppe “vedere” e interpretare la natura. Al suo interno sono visibili le riproduzioni di alcuni disegni che raffigurano vedute della campagna toscana e una mappa del valdarno, tracciata dallo stesso Leonardo. La casa è visitabile agli orari riportati. ATTENZIONE A RIMETTERE A POSTO BENE I SASSI, LA CACHE E' IN UN POSTO MOLTO VISIBILE !!!! Grazie ----------------------------------------------- VINCI Leonardo's Home Town The borough of Vinci numbers 14 thousand inhabitants. It is situated in the heart of Tuscany, only a few kilometres from Florence and Pistoia, a stone's throw from Pisa, and within an hour's drive from Lucca and Siena. Vinci extends over an area of 54 sq. km., with a minimum altitude of 26m at Sovigliana and a maximum of 640m on Montalbano (Cupolino), where the greater part of the borough territory may be found. Vinci, Leonardo's home town, lies in the heart of the most verdant countryside. This gives the surrounding landscape a magical and enchanted quality, worthy of the most suggestive of Leonardo's images. About 3 km from Vinci, at Anchiano, lies the house where Leonardo was born on 1452, April 15. Adorned on 1482 with the greatcoat of arms in stone of Da Vinci family, it was restored in 1986 and adds an interesting finishing touch to a tour of the museum. The landscape surrounding the house is still very similar to the one Leonardo had contemplated and drawn since childhood. That is why it was decided, during the repairs, to decorate the house with examples of how Leonardo was able to "see" and interpret nature. Inside the house are the reproductions of several drawings representing views of the Tuscan countryside and a map of the Arno valley, traced by Leonardo himself. You can visit the house. PAY ATTENTION TO WELL REPLACE SMALL STONES FOR HIDE THE CACHE, IT IS IN A VERY VISIBLE PLACE !
