Geocache Description:

About one and a quarter km from top carpark, on circuit track of Lake Barrine, along a well maintained, easily graded walking track. (NB the full circuit is 5km so allow an hour or two if wanting to do the full walk)

This cache is hoped to evolve into a best-seller ... ok, well, maybe something Monty Python wouldn’t use. But still, creative writing energy is requested for this cache. There is a seat at the cache site that provides a nice spot to get the creative juices flowing.

Give the evolving narrative a turn of comedy, drama, action, fear, whatever takes your fancy on the day.

Reception at cache site is not great and waypoint had 7m accuracy after averaging 200 times, so make sure GPS is turned on and satellites acquired before going into bush, and then use hint if necessary.

Cache container is a black painted ammo container. It contains: 1) a log book for visit logs, comments and swaps as per usual, and 2) the Story book, where you note your username and date then develop the story a few more pages. Swaps are bookmarks and small books which can fit in the container – original contents are a Janet Frame book and one Spike Milligan. If swapping books, please use plastic snaplock bags provided in cache, in case cache container is not closed properly at some stage and moisture gets in.

Return visits are welcome if the urge takes cachers to develop the story on more than one occasion.

There is also plenty of space in the container for swaps or travel bugs.
