Along the Backbone Trail in Topanga State Park
While doing a series of NPS sponsored hikes on the Backbone Trail recently, our group stopped at this spot for a break. It's a great place for a picnic lunch or just to rest and relax in the shade of the 'Lone Oak'. What's missing? A cache, of course!
Well, it has one now! It’s a decon container with logbook/pen and a few trinkets. Please be extra careful when looking for the cache and re-hide it exactly (or better!) as you found it, since this is a very popular rest stop!
Shortest access is from Will Rogers State Historic Park Backbone Trailhead. Enjoy the views!
